Brandon Thomas (BT)

With over two decades of coaching experience—including 15 seasons as a head coach—Brandon Thomas has established himself as one of the premier high school basketball minds in the nation. A proven winner, he holds an impressive head coaching record of 415-108, reflecting a 79% career winning percentage.

Brandon is a 6-time State Champion and led his team to an EIBC National Championship title. His leadership has earned him 6 Coach of the Year honors, produced 9 nationally ranked teams, and helped over 100 players continue their careers at the collegiate level.

His coaching journey began in Chicago, where he led programs at Hales Franciscan, North Lawndale, and Seton Academy between 2006 and 2014. Since returning to Texas, Brandon has made a major impact at Cedar Hill High School and currently serves as head coach at Faith Family Academy.

A proud Dallas native, Brandon graduated from Kimball High School in 1997 and went on to play college basketball at Grambling State University, where he earned a degree in Secondary Education. He later completed his Master’s in Coaching and Sports Administration from Concordia University.

Beyond the court, Brandon is a devoted husband to Jamila Thomas for over 20 years and a proud father to son Braylon and daughter Jaidence.
